Thousands of users will run out of WhatsApp at the end of June

WhatsApp will stop supporting a long list of operating systems and cell phones and many users will be left out.

It is because they are old operating systems that “no longer offer the necessary capacity to extend the functions of the application in the future,” explained from the application.

Those that will stop working are:

  • BlackBerry OS
  • BlackBerry 10
  • Nokia S40
  • Nokia Symbian S60
Those users who have any of these systems should change their cell phone or update it, if possible, in order to continue using WhatsApp .

It is not the first that happens. WhatsApp and other companies are no longer supporting old versions of phones. Since the beginning of 2017 the version of Android 2.3.3 and earlier, as well as the Window Phone 7 system and the iOS 6 platform are no longer compatible.
